The Forum Services and Support
The FORUM is a User Organization for UjimaSuites application license holders, which is administrated by Ujima Consultants. The FORUM is designed to provide users with a host of services and support. The FORUM only gets involved with a user when a user elects to become a fee-paying member. However, the FORUM is involved with the UjimaSuites applications by its design and purposes. As a user organization, the FORUM offers some unique features.
Ujima Consultants provides UjimaSuites user with application support, maintenance and upgrade through both the Customer SuiteSupport and the FORUM. The FORUM is an organization that promotes the use of the UjimaSuites software applications through active User driven CHANGEBOARD, agreed software enhancements, research based on the use of common data records and points of interest for human services agencies. The FORUM Members also insure that the future of the UjimaSuites Version application products will be economical and address the upcoming requirements for client data records and reporting. Ujima Consultants administrates the FORUM support as an essential tool in helping human services agencies to both report online to government entities and funding sources as well as grow to meet technology changes.

The goal is to provide The FORUM User Agencies with time conscious access to computing technology and related training for the long-term management of the UjimaSuites applications as Co-owner/Co-participants in a consortium format so as to reduce cost and increase effectiveness of each member's operations.

This list is an itemization of the supportive services available to FORUM User Agencies from Ujima Office and arranged with the specific User Agencies:
- Forum System Architecture - to insure the platform configuration design and feasibility in an environment of changing technology so as to address the evolving issues surrounding the Ujima Suites and other Apps which the Forum User Agency seek to use and maintain.
- Forum Facts & Data Coordination - which is aimed at taking advantage of the unique User Agencies requirements for professional research, reporting business information in a standard repeatable format, consolidating efforts to obtain grants grant, conduct development fund raising and lobbying initiatives of common concern. Member Agencies will have facts and data in a standard format via the use of the UjimaSuites applications and can report on common indices through the Forum, which would determine the use of all outputs.
- Used of standard facts and data for profession research to support both program funding allocation (government/business) and agency development (fund raising) via Forum member agreed submissions.
- Forum User Agency Virtual Retreat Seminars (Semi-Annual on-line) to discuss ongoing issues and concerns of collective interest.
- Quarterly Change Management Board meetings to discuss specific system operation and platform management issues related to the application design, reporting requirements, hardware standards, network communications, system configuration and architecture. Includes Change Management Board process and administrative support along with Change Packet project management.
- Strategic Planning and support for computing platform load capacity and technological obsolesce. Coalition based purchases of standard equipment for sustaining application environments.
- User Agency Inventory & Evaluations Using Models designed to provide acquisition by time scenarios and database input using the Asset & Inventory Management System.
- Web Support for standard document, application and bulletin distribution to members.
- Network Architecture, cabling, DSL, ISDN installation, and firewall control communications. Includes WAN & Internet architectural designs, configuration and load capacity planning for remote geographical site platforms and virtual sites.
- Special consulting in the area of Group Acquisition of equipment, Internet services, and other technical requirements.
- Test Bed Laboratory: This service is as the Technical Lead for User Agency desired changes through and for the Forum. This would included the Change Management activities for beta testing and debugging of desire enhancements as well as testing on new hardware platforms and technologies
- Ujima Consultants also administer the FORUM Discussion Board and Issue Research.
- User Guides and Technical Manuals: Online access to revised Users Manuals for the Ujima Applications, based on the Forum required changes. The manuals for the present applications are to be included on the various CD in a limited online format as part of the application package. The detail manuals are available in both hard and digital (with hyperlinks) formats. These are available on CD Release for a specific cost. All refinements for these particular manuals will be through the compilation and revisions of Ujima.
- Agency Client and Donor Surveys: Profession design, compilation and analysis of survey. All surveys are compiled with concerns for high standard and statistical validation of client services and case management issues.
