FORUM Research Design and Issue Advocacy

The Forum Research Design & Issue Advocacy is a objective that seeks to is that pertinent research regarding human service issues and concerns are identified, addressed, and completed in a professional manner for release by the FORUM Members. The objective is aimed at bringing the following action items under focus:

  • Research and publication of White Papers on the major concerns of the FORUM Membership in the areas of Interim Housing, Food Distribution and Nutrition, Counseling and Therapy, Substance Recovery and other human services concerns.
  • 2FD Coordination (Forum Facts & Data) – Design, collection, analyzing, validating and hosting of facts and data requirements for professional research and reporting information in a standard repeatable format. Process for consolidating efforts to obtain grants grant, conduct development fund raising and lobbying initiatives of common concern.
  • Forum Issues Research to validate advocacy positions for support of both program funding and agency development. The issues research is based on specific direction from the areas that have highlight the FORUM Members' interest and/or concerns.
  • Advocacy Board Management so as to insure that meetings, action items, decisions and minutes on advocacy issues are address and timely managed for the FORUM Members in pursuit of resolutions for various issues and concerns held by the FORUM. Also included would be any advocacy process management and administrative support along with the Strategic planning and any Coalition communications.
  • Discussion Board support for areas of advocacy concerns and interest to the FORUM Members that require web hosting of Discussion Board, collection of entries and grouping of discussion notes. The Discussion Board would also serve as an Issue Research Base.
  • Survey Design in support of the FORUM Member issue and concerns. Support includes survey design, distributing, compiling and presenting the results of various survey issues of interest to the FORUM Members.
